My grandfather Tony Citro previously owned DLW 565 and displayed it at his restaurant, Citro’s 1900 in Wayne, NJ for many years. He also owned and operated the Morris county RR for a time, and was a huge RR fan, collector, and operator.
Since my parents passing, I’ve found many RR items and photos that I’m still going through.
I had the chance to visit steamtown this weekend and was able to see 565 again. Great memories and I’m happy that she’s home where she belongs. I’m also proud that my grandfather in some small way was a part of keeping the history alive.
