Thanks B.  There will be some paint work when the wood repair is complete.  Harry did a nice job building the shed and we want to make it last a long time.

Noticing the number of Sheepscot buildings with weathered shingles that look too worn, is there any plan to stain or paint them?

Philip

Sloane did say he was often in danger of quoting himself.

Cedar shingles don't need paint - just replace broken ones. Natural patina is best.

Anticipated work for weekend of September 26:

* Saturday is the Fall Festival.  We need folks to assist at Alna Center for kids games, face painting, etc.
* Car barn
* Loco 9 (cab, maybe)

Work done on Saturday September 26:

* Car barn: The east side roofing is now done.  Zack worked on plywood on the door end (as a stiffener).  Meanwhile Mike used the dozer to remove dirt from the sides of the barn outside (both sides), then removed the piled up dirt underneath the walls.  He also sprinkled dirt in some low places inside.
* Fall Festival: We had a good amount of visitors.  We brought the caboose up on the first trip and left it on the siding at AC.  Later in the day we needed a handicap accessible car, so we put a flatcar on the end and kept it on the train all day.

Any numerical results?

Let's hear huge applause for the Car Barn Roof Rats! Well done. And for Dozer Mike for his CB sitework. And for the Frog Mafia getting  3-way-switch parts ready for FWW install. And for Marcel the #9  Cab King. And for the Sandblast Master for finishing a not-fun job.
And for a good passenger turnout.
