The best laid plans...
I had been looking forward to this weekend, as I was free to visit Sheepscot. The only glitch was that I would be coming home from a business trip to Medford Oregon.
When I left Boston on Tuesday, the radio mentioned that there was a *chance* of *flurries* on Friday. Since I was flying in on Friday afternoon, I opted for a covered parking spot.
My *first* flight home was cancelled on Thursday. I rescheduled that for Saturday, as that was offered.
My *second* flight home was cancelled on Friday - now the earliest flight back was/is TUESDAY!
So, with an extra few days, I drove 8+ hours to visit the Sumpter Valley Railroad outside of Baker City, OR. Tomorrow (Sunday) I drive to Billings, MT., where my employer is based (an 11 hour drive from Baker City.) I'll put a full trip report on the Sumpter Valley in WW&F Visits. But, at least I got my railroad fix today, see photo.
Michelle and Emily report well over 2' of snow in Hampstead, NH. But they are safe, warm, and shoveled out (thanks to our friends and neighbors.)
