Just got home from the fire station and had to scrape ZR (freezing rain) off of the windows of the truck.  The Dodge was parked for over 2 hours and was completely covered in what looked like snow.  I found out how much ice there was when I tried to brush it off.  Latest forecasts call for snow/snain through Thursday with a break in the afternoon and more on Friday.  As they used to say on my old radio station back home "and the hits just keep on coming"

Snain or snizzle, if it freezes on the roads things get interesting.  We've had two calls for vehicles off the road in the last couple of days and now we have fog added to the mix.

Did anyone notice that it snowed all day?  Very light stuff, didn't lay but now that the sun has gone down it is collecting.  Just heard 2-4" overnight.  Not a big deal after what we've been through ... but is this part 5? Getting tough to keep score!

That's okay....spring arrives on the 20th. A foot of snow on the ground for the first day of spring....how can you beat that?

True, Spring arrives on the calendar so this will be the last snow storm this Winter ... I wonder if the snow will be around a week from Saturday when we run the Easter trains.  "Ok kids, here's your bunny ears and snow shovel, now go find the eggs!"

Nice Winter we're having this Spring.  The steps are ice covered from the snow and sleet today/tonight.  Not much snowfall but it's layin' on the grass and the old snow pile next to the garage.  The pile is left over from the blizzard(s) about 3 months ago.  Someday I'll see if there's any grass under there, of course it'll be full of driveway stone.  Been raking stone out of the lawn for two weeks.  Sheeesh!

At least I saw the first Robin this week ... she was wearing a parka.
