Yes John, the 10 has gone through a kind of thorough winter maintenance procedure this winter. I took the screen outside, washed it, checked for holes etc. But, an occasional hot cinder may sneak through, or a hot ash may sneak out of the ash pan. But for the most part, we should be all set. The tubes are nice and clean, as well as the inside of the smoke box and fire box. Also noted, any minor things that I could think of, I have gone through and checked, and attempted to correct, but won't know the official results till Saturday. In any case all work done will be an improvement. I'd say as an estimate, I have spent about 40 hours on the 10 this winter, which is about 10 hours more than normal, and am expecting to get in at least another 8 or 9 hours of maintenance work done on Friday.
