Steam and Saws 2021
« on: January 02, 2021, 07:22:38 PM »
Today was the first Steam and Saws for 2021. Due to the weather and the cancellation of Steam and Sleighs, we cut at Alna Center.

We took our time starting, but here is a few pictures of before.

Brian is clearing our fire area

And this is after. We had James and Dave helping in the morning, and were visited by Fred then  Steve & Annie P. with their little Johnny in the afternoon. They toasted marshmallows on the fire. And Dave came by for the final inspection, followed by Zack to check on our progress.

Fred & his Friday crew. The site sure is improved with all the surplus lumber and blocking removed.    Good job by todays brush crew.

Were you able to start a fire in Last Years brush pile. Or did you have to restack it?

Fridays crew burnt that pile. And yes, Freds crew did an excellent job cleaning up. We were able to park in the Pavilion to stay somewhat dry.

I'm getting to much credit! Stewart had the pile burning before the rest of us got there. Also was good having the pick-up truck running again. Still has a load of wood on it to be unloaded in better weather.
