Affix a 3 or 4 inch thin wall PVC pipe to the bottom of each curtain.  Attach two cords on the outside of the ceiling about 18" from the end of each curtain.  Run the cord down under the pipe and up the inside of the ceiling.  The first to a single pully on one side and then to a double pully on the other side where the second cord also runs through the double pully.  Then route the two cords to a boat cleat mounted on an adjacent supporting pole.

Pulling on the two cords will cause the PVC to roll up the curtain up.

Thanks Ed,

Sorry, I didn't mean this to sound snarky, just in jest.

Here is a photo that Stewart posted to Facebook.
I must be missing something.  When I saw the first post I looked on the WW&F Facebook site and could not find a pix of the seats.  After reading this post and looking at the picture on the forum I went back to the Facebook site and still, no pix of the seats.
What am I missing?

Today repairs to the seat mounts on 51 & 52 were completed. The hinge plates were replaced. The broken back on 52’s engineers side was also repaired. The seats now won’t inadvertently tip forward. To access the battery box remove the safety clips. Please don’t forget to reinstall them.

I also emailed you for the safety, brakeman, conductor and engineers test. Can you send me the links also?

Perhaps we should consider the French option for tamping our track.

Thanks Pete, a recording would be great. That’s how I renew my FAA Flight Instructors Certification every two years.

Mike,
Might I suggest we find one of our new, young, railroad enthusiast and teach him how to operate the Kabota and the sickle bar. I know it is a tricky skill to learn, but you could work with that individual until they became good at it. That would relieve you of one of the many duties that you currently have.
