For many of us with over 20 years at the museum, this upcoming weekend will be a dream come true. From highway to highway Three and a half miles including the steepest grade with lots of curves, woodland and pasture and fields and stations. Many years of labor comes true.Thanks to everyone past and present.

I'm extremely impressed with the work that has been accomplished by an all-volunteer organization.  I've been observing from afar your progress and am amazed at the variety of top-notch skills possessed by your workers.  And...taking on so many projects at once.  All I can say is "well done!"

Not much picture taking today. Very busy and did not finish everything I wanted.

8am, I had arrived with a load of stone, but needed to lay out fabric before I could dump it.



4 loads later..not quite enough, but was break time. 9:30..ish



And one more load got me there.



The ditching was sticky



Had a fuel issue with the Kubota. It quit. I had a good idea what it was and had it cleared up in about 10 minutes.

Then, at about 1:50, I got into the real colorful language.



Ran back to Sheepscot with the Mill truck to get my truck with my tools and a bar. An hour later I had it fixed but was out of time. Completed everything to the point of the frog, with just a little grading left to do to smooth up a spot or 2 between the frog and rock.

Got a chuckle out of James' post.  Our long-suffering treasurer has been very supportive of the equipment budget.  Fortunately Mike and others have greatly helped the budget over the years by finding well-used but serviceable equipment and then tending the equipment proactively and frugally.
