How many people (passengers) are estimated to be there on the 6th?

How many people (passengers) are estimated to be there on the 6th?

For VC 2025, there will be 70-75 people per train. Trains run every 40 minutes starting at 10am. So figure 500 passengers for the day.

However, ticket sales for 12/6 have been sluggish (12/13 and 12/20 are nearly sold out) so there may not be quite that many this weekend.

Work done on Saturday Dec 6:

* Victorian Christmas - not a sell-out, but a good number of people. Weather was almost perfect from a Christmas-y feel - a touch of light snow.
* Loco 11 - Earl was in probably working on some aspect of it

Most everyone was involved with running Victorian Christmas.

It’s great to see Santa and Mrs. Claus back bringing joy to all at Alna Center. Now I am in the Christmas mood!

If it's who I think it is, it's great to see him again! :)

Yes. I spoke with Santa at the end of the day and they had a great time as well. Smiling as much then as he was in the morning.

Nick leading a crew meeting before the start of operations.

James waiting to supply locomotive coal.

WW&F No. 9 steaming up in the Morse Engine House.

Clearing the flangeways for No. 9 to exit the engine house.

A view on Davis grade from the rear of the first train of the day north bound.

Some Alna Center views.  The day's consist was combine No. 8, coach No. 3 and caboose No. 320.

Maine Locomotive & Machine No. 11 running around the first train.

Free hot coffee and hot chocolate.

BBQ, next to the shed for making Christmas decorations.

Popcorn and the pavilion.

We want...A SHRUBBERY!  One that looks nice, and not too expensive.

We need to get clear drapes for the pavillion.  Roll up on nice days, roll down for rain and cold weather.

We have them, John. See the last two photos in Mike's post here:

Thanx,  had to clean my glasses and squint but did see them.  Were they all rolled down and how much help was it in keeping the heat in?

There was a very slight breeze Saturday with light snow for a good part of the day. There was a noticeable difference between the sides being down and the open ones that had no sides.  And all of the comments I got from the vendors were positive. I would like to come up with a good way to roll them up.
