#7 positioned under one of those new lights. You almost need sunglasses. And, don't look directly at the light without eye protection. Like a welding helmet.

It was a solution to the question of if we were gonna have to remove the "bridgton cap" spark arrestor every time the engine would be running back for the pumpkin trains.

Stubborn fire. Too much dead stuff..

Nicole improvised with some lids and a tray to create a breeze..

Nice and hot when we stopped

Did a little work on the dozer while the fire died down. Painted the yellow and put the top roll on.

Jeff, Note the ties are not sitting on the ground. The old track that ran from the turntable to the North Yard was removed with the folktruck. Rails with ties was stacked for storage. Plans are to use this track on the Woods track.

Not to steal Steve L's thunder, but THE LINE IS OPEN!

Thanks to everyone who helped open the mainline from Sheepscot to Top of Mountain. This was necessary to prepare for Saturday's major storm, and ultimately to run "Steam and Sleighs to SeaLyon Farm" for the upcoming Saturdays in February.

There's still a bunch of work to do tomorrow, and then plowing next week. Please join in the work fun if your schedule allows.

The freeze thaw cycles this winter have been tough. I have an idea I will share with Steve tomorrow that hopefully helps.

The crew worked hard to reach this point. Starting last week with the line prep by Chuck, Dan, JB and myself. This week busting it up and getting through again with Chuck, JB, Brian W, Fred, Scott Higgins and myself. We hope the clean up to be tomorrow.
