i have been watching museums restore passenger cars for the last 40 years and I do not think i have ever seen one use actual varnish on a passenger  and such cars. You guys have created a masterpiece! And there is lots more to come! I just sent a check to the W&Q#9; I just love matching grants, they make my money go further!

Eric S. is watching the attachment between 52 and Coach 9. The lack of couplers meant the use of chains

More painted truck parts. Finish color. I believe the next step is assembly.

The seat  cushions are here!

I drove to the shop in Bird-in hand PA on Sunday and returned with them on Tuesday. The shop crew quickly unloaded the trailer and placed the cushions on the chair frames.

There is a minor problem, the seat bottom has two Oak rails that the seat slides on as the backrest is changed to face the other way. These rails were not stained or varnished and they show, so we will remove them and varnish. We may also remake them to alter the bottom shape to make them slide better.

The seat color is beautiful and the coach now looks great. And I  have forgotten how to post a photo, so someone please add some  photos.

Can't wait to see how the seats look.  Plus post pictures of the hub covers from Cattail so I can see how they came out.  Did you pick up the pattern for the rocker boxes?
