I have  a couple of question about the last surviving passenger car on the railway.

Does it still have its Jackson & Sharp passenger car trucks? I know there are still plans for J&S 36" trucks around; can they be adopted to use for 24" tracks?

Is there any plan to build a second pair of J & S passenger trucks for the WW&F #8 which I think has Bridgton & Saco River freight car trucks?

There has been some discussion here about building another passenger car for the railway. I believe that it will use Jackson & Sharp passenger car trucks? Is this correct?

W&Q coach 3 retains its original J&S trucks, and we have a copy of the J&S drawing for this truck.  We plan to build a new set for the new coach (reconstruction of W&Q coach 2).  We also own a spare set of J&S passenger trucks; these need rebuilding.  We plan to do this and utilize the trucks, however we aren't entirely settled as to where yet. 

There are near term plans to put a baggage door in coach 8, to allow handicap access...

Hi Guys,

It was always my understanding that the "spare" set of J&S trucks were originally from B&SR #30, their 3-door mail car.  She was the only other J&S car the B&SR ever owned.  The 30's trucks were swapped to a full coach on archbars around the time the it was rebuilt for use at Freedomland.

Glenn....of course wiscasset and Quebec coach 3 was owned by the B&S RR for several years after the ww&f failed to fully pay for the loco purchased from them (WW&F #5) and was then saved at Edaville.

Yup that's pretty much it.

Interestingly enough, current loco WW&F #10 / previously Edaville #5 / was bought by Edaville and regauged from 30" gauge to handle trains at Pleasure Island, because #3 and #4 were needed at Freedomland.  I got to see a lot of#7 and #8 during those years.
