Had some parts ready, so tried getting some of the parts together before I had to move them out of the way.

I assume that the ends will receive a flanged plate receiver for link and pin coupling.

Just a simple 4 inch angle with a 7/8 hole drilled in will befor the link and pin. I would like to make more links if I can find the stuff needed

ROWMOW Mfg has been down with the crud this week, so there may be a delay in the arrival of 1014. Still a little work to do to it, then paint, but the crew is out until they feel better.

Hope you feel better Mike! Good thing RowMow Mfg. has a good sick leave policy.

Obviously, tough Maine-ers bounce back fast!
BTW, what are those big frame holes for, at 1014's corners?

I suspect that they are for the bars that are used to lift the car on & off the rails. The bars are longer than the car so one can slide them out to get more leverage.

You can see a lifting bar ( actually a pipe) trial fitted, lower left corner of the third photo. The "lifting" end is on the ground.

Yes, those holes are for the pipes the lifting arms slide in. The pipes are in now. Felt good enough Monday night to tackle that. I have some grinding I want to do before I put the deck on. The bars I am using will be some left over truss rod from the 67 project. Hoping these are solid enough so when loading rail they will not bend.

Back at it again. I think the cold is finally out of here. Both outside and the one in my head.
