November/December 2015 Newsletter.

Referring to the caption on the page 2 photo, I am NOT supervising. Milo is barking out the orders and I am merely following them.

Upon reviewing the first draft, Milo asked me to change the caption text to its current form.

Folks,
My all-color issue of the newsletter finally made it out to San Francisco. i guess somebody in the Post Office decided to read it on the way!

Thank you for making it the special color issue it is! An event like the operation of #9 is certainly a major event in the history of the WW&F Museum!

Thanks to whoever made the color printing possible. If the museum can afford it; I hope that occasion color pictures can make their way into future newsletters.

Of course the historic photos should retain their black and white format.

The color newsletter costs about $150 or so more than the regular newsletter, so it's not something we're going to do very often.  But we felt that such a long-awaited event deserved it.  Off hand I can recall one other time we did color (maybe it wasn't quite color), but I forget what the occasion was.

The September/October issues in both 2006 and 2008 had front page photographs that were done in sepia to give an "olde time" look to excellent Stephen Hussar shots. The present newsletter is our first to use full color, and as James pointed out, there was great enthusiasm that such a long-awaited event deserved it. By the way, the use of color on the last page was a freebie,as the first and last pages are on the same side of the same sheet.

The front page is cropped from a larger photograph and is an excellent example of the artistry of Stephen Hussar and the craftsmanship of Lincoln County Publishing. We also benefited that our present mailing method does not involve a cancellation machine that smeared and crumpled our newsletters.
