I've been missing the Thursday night live chat we used to have here. Does anyone else miss it? We used to have some lively discussions.....

The last couple of weeks it seemed to be broken. JavaScript and cookies enabled, and clicking the link just opened another copy of the forum page. For a few weeks before that, there wasn't any activity when I was connected.

Well, I confess that I haven't signed in recently, either. When I look and see if anyone's there, and no one is, I figure why bother. Shall we try again this week?

The chat works for me. It also appears that a few others have been in and out of the chat room, testing.

Bill, I suggest you clear your Internet Temp files, etc. I haven't made any changes to the chat room code since it was put live.

I suppose that the chat room would get more usage if someone posts a 'reminder' notice on Thursday mornings. If someone would like to tackle that, please let me know.

Unfortunately, I am usually away from my PC on Thursday nights, so I am no longer able to participate regularly.

Hi Ed,
I've been trying for days to access the chat function....with no success. I tried clearing my "temp files" when I click the "Chat" button or the hot link where it mentions if there are others in the chat section....it just takes me to the forum's home page.
I have also tried this from other computers, with the same result.

I just clicked on chat and got right in

I just tried it from an iMac and could not get in. Ed, are all of our computers messed up or is it the website?

Works for me. I also see that Craig and James got in... but no one else.

Doesn't work for me, even when I type in the URL directly (.../chat/index.php).  The host strips the ?chat/index.php and dumps back to the forum home page.

I hear the Internet Explorer 9 just came out - was anybody trying to get in with that?

I use Mozilla Firefox to do my browsing.
