The car-builder's dictionary; an illustrated vocabulary of terms which designate American railroad cars, their parts, attachments, and details of construction. Five thousand six hundred eighty-three illustrations.

Ken, thanks very much for finding these. I had searched for framing plans so i can model coach 3 but did not find these. Zack has volunteered to crawl under coach 3 and measure the beams for me, but sure want to avoid that, for his sake!!! dale

These pubs should be an aid to any building models or the real thing.  Be sure and explore the website for other useful pubs.

I believe either the Delaware State Archives or Hanley Library in Delaware has the framing plans for quite a few of the Jackson & Sharp and ACF cars built for W&Q as well as WW&F.  I ordered framing plans from them several years ago.

I can get you an address for both facilities this evening.

hey Dave, that would be great. Coach 3 certainly deserves to be captured in 7/8 scale, as has several other WW&F cars that don't even exist!  Dale

I purchased builders photos from the Delaware State Archives; they had Baggage Car #1, Coach #2, Combine #6, and Excursion Car #7.

The Hagley Museum & Library had framing plans for Baggage Car #1, Coach #5, and Combine #6.  Possibly they have others, but those were the 3 that I could find all in one spot at the house last night.  If you want to order plans, please contact them at:
