Thanks Mike for the coverage of your busy day .BTW do you ever have a lazy one ? Everything is ready for the next weekend I hope the weather will be on your side. Great find you did, I've never heard of a V shaped grate before too.

For many of us with over 20 years at the museum, this upcoming weekend will be a dream come true. From highway to highway Three and a half miles including the steepest grade with lots of curves, woodland and pasture and fields and stations. Many years of labor comes true. Thanks to everyone past and present.

I'm extremely impressed with the work that has been accomplished by an all-volunteer organization.  I've been observing from afar your progress and am amazed at the variety of top-notch skills possessed by your workers.  And...taking on so many projects at once.  All I can say is "well done!"

Not much picture taking today. Very busy and did not finish everything I wanted.

8am, I had arrived with a load of stone, but needed to lay out fabric before I could dump it.

4 loads later..not quite enough, but was break time. 9:30..ish

And one more load got me there.

The ditching was sticky

Had a fuel issue with the Kubota. It quit. I had a good idea what it was and had it cleared up in about 10 minutes.

Then, at about 1:50, I got into the real colorful language.

Ran back to Sheepscot with the Mill truck to get my truck with my tools and a bar. An hour later I had it fixed but was out of time. Completed everything to the point of the frog, with just a little grading left to do to smooth up a spot or 2 between the frog and rock.

I certainly hope the BOD has set aside a healthy fund for Case-y's overhaul.  Case-y has earned it this year.

Dave:  I'll give you the company address where you can send your request.  To seal the deal, you might have to paint a corporate logo on the side of your home in Head Tide.

Got a chuckle out of James' post.  Our long-suffering treasurer has been very supportive of the equipment budget.  Fortunately Mike and others have greatly helped the budget over the years by finding well-used but serviceable equipment and then tending the equipment proactively and frugally.

Hey, Bill, as a man who doubtless has corporate connections, is it true that the new logo is just a single D?

Well, not quite.  Let's talk this weekend as you wire up the magneto photo extension.  I'll provide the answer as I look forward to providing dispatcher Ed with his first crank call.

Who, me?

Looking forward to seeing many old and new friends this coming weekend.  Exciting times, I'd say.  For friends away, I'll try to post some photos each evening during work weekend.  I expect others will, too, and Stewart will keep our Facebook up-to-date as well.

Looks like FWW prelims are just about set.
Way to go, fellers.

National weather shows a storm heading your way early in the week.
Pass out the brollies, as our Brit cousins say, and full speed ahead, what?

Didn't know your 'new' flatbed Copeland truck was a dumper also. Excellent.

Good luck this week.
