Mike Fox keeps posting dirty pictures. ::)

He's like that, though he was looked Spic and Span for the board meeting Saturday.
What–me worry?

That is unlike me. I get dirty. I don't mind getting dirty. Never have. I wash..

Dirty pictures though...there is a new take on things. Thank you John for the chuckle..

Nice before and after pics Mike. You have created a great base for the upcoming push to the bridge this Fall.

More work done today. West side of the cut is complete, and borrowed some dirt for the fill. Still going to come up short, and need some hauled in. I have about a half days work at location 10 left to do.

Coming back from lunch..

At the end of day. Looking South at location 10

Location 10, still looking south. Need another foot of material.

Looking North at location 10, then walking to see the bridge.

Looking back south at the dozer.

Speaking of the dozer, the muffler fell off, so to keep the moisture out of the manifold, I borrowed a piece of birch we cut this winter..

Mike,
Do you need to clear all thos tree cut logs off the right of way? Or just they stay there to rot out?

Fred will be in to get them, just as soon as the grading is complete.

As James said, Fred is anxiously waiting for Contractor Jeff to do his work. I have left a spot where Fred can turn the pick up around so he (or anyone else) is not having to back up 2000 feet to get the wood..

I am thinking of getting the logs out of the way from the big pines we cut. I will have the loader up there on Saturday lugging material, so the opportunity is there to load the logs on the white truck and haul them to Sheepscot or someplace close (like Brook Crossing??) for cutting. That will leave the smaller cut hardwood for picking up with the pick up.

Did not realize how much ROW clearing/grubbing, finish grading is still needed, all the cut wood to be hauled out and cut.
Since moving off moist, east coast Staten Island to dry NM (except for our forested mountains), forgot  about the difference.  :-\

Brendan was kind enough to drive the loader to the North End for me this morning. Contractor Jeff had left me 3 loads of material.

Before lunch I lugged 8 loads south. To make sure I was getting all I could in the bucket, I walked up and got the Kubota and topped off the loader bucket to lug all I could. With 10 to 12 minute trip cyle times, it would not take many partial bucket fulls to add a significant amount of time to the day.

After lunch I had lugged another 7 bucket fulls up, then fired up the dozer.

Then, end of the day, I had brought up an additional 11 bucket loads. 3 dump truck loads equals 26 bucket loads. Phew..

Left some tracks..I will doze them in tomorrow..

Mike, in today's pictures #4 and #6, I think I see a new red muffler on the dozer. Is that right? Anyway, thanks for so much accomplishment. So important to the goals!
