Is this who I think it is? Need confirmation. Image was captured in 1948. Thanks in advance!

That looks like Mr. Atwood Himself!

A rather nice photograph too. Did you take it yourself and then forget your subject? ;D

Wow - nice image of Mr. Atwood.  It looks like that film is in great condition.  I'll second Mikes post.

Gus told me that there was a shot of Atwood in the Edaville section -- I just wanted to be absolutely sure. Yes, the Edaville portion of the film is immaculate and looks as though Gus may have never run it through his projector (maybe once!). I've transferred thousands of feet of film footage over the years and I've never seen anything so pristine.

To update the status of the project, the sound editing is nearly done. I'll be at the museum either Friday or Saturday to record a few more sound effects, which will allow us to finish up all of the sound work next week. Still hoping to have the program on hand for Annual Picnic.

Ellis D Atwood - one of the few of his generation to invest a considerable sum in railway preservation.  His generosity would eventually touch all of the Maine 2-foot preservation projects in some way.  Ellis's checkbook and Linwood Moody's pen certainly gave us a good foundation to build on.
