Narrow Guage Convention 2009
« on: July 15, 2009, 04:57:27 PM »
It is being held in Colorado Springs, CO. in September
Is anyone from the WW&F going?
I will volunteer to man a table if the museum so desires.

That would be cool, Ira. It would be great if the museum were represented all the way out there...

The convention  is in Colorado Spring, CO Sept 17-20. All vendor space is sold out but there may be cancellation space.
Registration for venders(with two admissions)is $185, with general admissions at $90 each. A good value.
If the WW&F will underwrite the costs of the necessary registration and materials, etc., I will man the booth.

Ira,

I suggest a PM to James Patten, the WW&F treasurer, and he can bring it up at the next Board of Directors meeting, which is (I think) August 14th. Include some information that will help him sell the idea.

Or, Ira, you can PM Steve Zuppa, who as president can authorize expenditures of up to $500 without going to the board.  That way the decision will happen much faster.

I'll try to remember to bring it up on Saturday.

We now have a booth and the check is in the mail.
We have two "free" admissions and I am only using one, so if someone else is planning to attend, we have an additional pass.
Should be a very large turnout, based on location and Maine is well represented by vendors.
