RMNE work weekend April 18th & 19th
« on: April 14, 2009, 09:51:21 AM »
I realize this is somewhat short notice, but RMNE is having their track weekend this weekend, April 18th & 19th, and they've purposely scheduled it so as not to conflict with our work weekend. So if anyone is looking to get into the swing of things early, give them a shout and let them know you are coming!

Guess you can call it a "Warm Up" weekend for some of us RMNE boys.  Working on the Broad Gauge makes the 2-foot seem a bit easier.  We'll have at least 4 of us up to Maine for the WW&F session.

We had a fairly good weekend on the Naugy.  We ended up having three track projects going on plus work inside the shop on a replacement EMD 567 diesel engine for B&M 1732, the shop building electrical system,  ex CNR coach 5805 and caboose (van) CV 4014.  Support crews also supplied lunches in two locations Saturday and one on Sunday.
When rebuilding a private crossing at the north end of the Thomaston passing track we found that the base of the rails in the crossing had a lot of rust damage so four rails will have to be replaced, so that part of the project will continue.
