twofoot replied:Thanks! That's half my battle. Now I need some rough dimensions to actually build the beast.
Cheers,

James Patten replied:I can tell you what it isn't.
It's longer than a freight car (30') but shorter than coach 3 (45'). I think it's an odd number, like 37'.
If someone online can remember how long the timbers we bought for it were, that would tell you the rough length.
John McNamara replied:Chris,
The other possibility might be to call up some Saturday afternoon (207-882-4193) and see if someone was available to go out with a tape and measure it.

twofoot replied:I could never bother someone like that. I guess I could just wait until summer vacation and bring my tape measure. Or I'll be doing a lot of math, calculating length using the rail gauge as a guide on the end shots.
Dave Crow replied:Chris,
I can tell you the uprights are finish-sized 4x4's, so that might help you scale the photos.
I am planning to go up for Victorian Christmas, hopefully, I can remember to do some measurements for you then.

Steve Smith replied:Chris,
While working at the museum today I got some measurements of car 103 today for you, which I can put on a sketch. I'll check with WW&F's webmaster to find out how to get them to you.

twofoot replied:WOW! I don't know what to say. Thank you so much!
