Actually, the WW&F used a jib crane and small tip cars to load coal on locomotives. The track did go up an embankment to feed coal into the shed, and the tip cars were evidently loaded by hand inside the shed and then pushed outside where they were lifted by the jib crane to be dumped into the tender. There were a couple of tracks down at ground level as well, but I don't think they ever loaded coal directly from the elevated track to the engines.

We might want to consider a platform or bin at about the same height as the side of the coal space, from which a plank could bridge to roll a wheelbarrow across to dump the coal.

There has been some discusson kind of behind the scenes about this. What ever is built has to be historically correct, either something like what was in Wiscasset or something another Two footer had. Functional but appropriate. This is something that is on the desired list, not the needed list like restrooms, parking or storage.
