When Dan approached me with the idea, one of the first things I told him is it would make great storage (if water tight). I think it is worth exploring the idea. Right now that is what Dan has started here.

Thanks, Mike. The photo of the MEC boxcar is from a magazine (Trains) from 1965. That magazine from a large collection donated by Kenton Harrison of Massachusetts.
Wanted: Copies of correspondence and photographs from "first generation narrow gage railfans" such as Linwood Moody, Dick Andrews, Lawrence Brown, Ellis Atwood, H.T. Crittenden and others. Interested in all two foot (U.S.) rail operations, common carrier, industrial/mill and park/museum.

With what I believe is LIRR cabin car (caboose) 29 on the rear.

I read the Narrow Gauge Giscussion Forum on a regular basis and the idea of having a standard gauge box car next to a narrow gauge car has been suggested several times. but to the best of my knowledge it has never been done. I think it would be a great idea; especially the difference between
the two-foot gauge and standard gauge.
