Monson Railroad Visit August 2024
« on: September 19, 2024, 03:50:57 PM »
On the way up to Greenville Jct Sue and I took a short sidetrip to see the Monson Jct and Monson stations.   Monson Jct looked about the same as 5 years ago but a bit more hidden by trees.
Monson (Town) station did not look too well on the south end where several pieces of the wooden siding has fallen off the structure.  The track built for a visit of former M R R engine 3 is still there.
Hopefully whoever owns the building can pay a visit and make some repairs.

I had been planning to visit Monson Station on my way north to view the eclipse back in April, however the traffic backup and slowness (stop and go a mile south of Monson) put an end to those plans.
