It's that dad burned wabbit again...

If you wish to pledge more than one copy, please vote the appropriate number of times for the first line of the poll.
Since I have voted (only once) I only see a "remove vote" option.  How does one vote more than once for additional pledges?

Welp- I was wrong about how the poll works.  So I added options for additional pledges.  Sorry it got complicated..

Thanks
Jason

To change one's pledge one has to remove the original vote (pledge) then one can make a new vote (pledge) with additional options.

Hi Jason. Great idea to print a special issue of the Rulebook. I just pledged 25§ but it's too bad that those that are not on the crew can't get one. But as I've been railroad safety conscious in decades  I will be pretty intersested in reading  the current Rulebook  and that will be a real treat for me, as you propose it, if you can send me a PDF copy by mail. Thank you in advance.

For those not eligible to receive a hard copy rulebook, can it be posted as a PDF on the website so those interested can read it?

We'd rather not make the rulebook available without at least some gatekeeping. (Railroads typically do not freely distribute rulebooks.)

Any member who is at Sheepscot regularly can pick up one (in the disposable, photo-copied format). Members "from away" may request a PDF (which we ask not to be redistributed.)

We are ready to begin the design phase with the publisher for the hardbound rulebooks. If you have made a pledge for one or more copies, please send in your donation by March 15 if you have not already done so.

You can use any of our usual donation methods. If donating by PayPal, please send an email to myself and James so we can keep track. (PayPal got rid of the "Notes" field that was so useful for designating donations...)

Thanks!

I just sent my payment via PayPal, but I was not given an option to include a note.  Did you mean to send an email?
What–me worry?

I did not mean that, but it looks like it must be the path forward. Paypal used to have a "Notes" box.

So I guess if you use Paypal, send a note to James (treasurer [at] wwfry.org) and myself (ben.richards [at] wwfry.org) so we can keep track of it.

The note to James is the most important, otherwise when I enter the donation in the system I don't know what it is for. I have entered only 3 donations so far..using the memberdhip database to track these donations would be the best way to track the donations.

I am happy to report that as of 3/15, we have received donations sufficient to fund this project in its entirety! We are now reviewing the manuscript one final time before submission to the publisher, at which time the design phase will begin.

A big thank-you to all who were able to contribute to this effort. We look forward to getting this into the hands of our crew members.

Many of you may be wondering what happened to this project. The rulebook committee began meeting in earnest about six weeks ago to finalize the manuscript. After
what turned out to be a surprisingly intensive review effort, we intend to present the manuscript to the Board for approval at their September meeting. The publisher will then begin the design process, and if all goes well, we will issue the rulebooks in 2025.

Thanks for your continued interest and support!
