With how long amfleet cars are and how low to the ground they would be if they used 2ft gauge trucks, I wonder if it would end up bottoming out on the rails when the slope changes. Like at the top of the 4%

Would much rather have a South African class NGe15 2-8-2, and one does not need to change the gauge.

Many years ago, right around when we were building Davis Curve, John M mocked up an Acela going around the curve (because it tilts). I haven't been able to find that picture in my collection, unfortunately.
