Thanks, while we now have coverage for May 11th, I'd really love to have more people who can help with this important role.
The Gatekeeper / Greeter effectively becomes the "welcome wagon" for our guests and set the stage for everything they experience on site, on our train, and at the event. They convey important information to our visitors and become a visible point of contact for questions and concerns. This position began with COVID to allow for social distancing, contactless check in, and not to overwhelm the confined space of the gift/ticket shop. Since the platform has been out of service, the role expanded slightly to include directing passengers to the various points of interest (and train boarding area.) I suspect this position will change again once the new platform is in service, but it is certainly something we will continue to do.
(And no, you don't have to use the same corny jokes I do.)
