Regarding the Winslow Fair, I had the morning shift and Stephen P. was there for the day. We will split the day tomorrow. Several people stopped at the table and display that Stephen set up. Mostly from the Waterville area. A few folks were already museum members with others interested in stopping in to Alna.

We both determined the fair to be a good source of meeting new folks and as I was driving out, Stephen had 5 people all gathered around.

If we do this fair next year, sure would be nice to have some panel track to work the handcart back and forth on. Just a thought. The youngsters need to see it in motion to be able to understand what exactly it is.
Wanted: Copies of correspondence and photographs from "first generation narrow gage railfans" such as Linwood Moody, Dick Andrews, Lawrence Brown, Ellis Atwood, H.T. Crittenden and others. Interested in all two foot (U.S.) rail operations, common carrier, industrial/mill and park/museum.

I did not have as much paint left as I thought I did, so Cody helped prep the wheels and I painted them.

And of course the pic I took was of the flat tire. As soon as the painting is done I will move the trailer and blow the tire up and check for leaks.

It's great to see the trailer coming along. It was a long term project and the persistence and hard work is appreciated.

The other two smoke jacks are assembled in the engine house and need to be painted if anyone would like to join Joe in doing so. The paint and brushes were left next to the smoke jacks.

I didn't see James today, so here's what I saw going on:

* Public Trains - Including the Ride the Rails to Hike the Trails hike, well attended for 11a & 1p; lighter patronage for 3p; lots of happy passengers.
* Smoke Jacks - Both got painted.
* X-Cart "Dave" - Fabrication work.
* Locomotive 10 - Smokebox work; Boiler parts identified.
* Lunch - Meatball subs.

Probably a lot more I missed.

Bruce Wilson and I continued to attend the WW&F table at the Windsor Fair; the fair will continue for the next 2 days, during which time you can come visit us adjacent to the sawmill that the railway used to serve.

Stewart and Zack painted the two smoke jacks today.

A large group was working on No. 10.

Brush cutting was completed at Trout Brook, to just south of the bridge.

The public signboard was updated to add "The Alna Store BBQ Limited" September 15th.  A new partner.

Sorry, can't post any photos of the first two items.  Imgur is misbehaving tonight.
What–me worry?
