Fred stayed until 4 to make sure progress was made..insulation was finished in the east rear wall of bay 2 and the north west wall of bay 1.

I cleaned out a ditch after lunch, and laid out a new pedestrian walkway.

Some photos from today:

The 9:30 a.m. monthly Board meeting, held at the Alna fire house.  Seated clockwise from the left are Directors Mike Fox, Ed Lecuyer, James Patten, Roger Whitney, Dave Buczkowski, Randy Beach, Linda Zollers and Brendan Barry.  Director Jason Lamontagne was online.

At Sheepscot, I saw both WW&F flatcars Nos. 118 & 126 were loaded with stone.  Roadmaster Steve Lennox' July Board meeting report posted in the member's only section of the forum details the work and focus of the track crew, including the staging of these two cars for work planned soon.  I'll note recent Bulletin Orders show no temporary track speed restrictions, the result of the track crew's focused effort on track maintenance.

More photos taken today can be found in these forum threads:

After lunch, I went out and cut brush for sight lines around Trask's crossing.  Before view, looking northbound toward Alna Center.

After view.

And the first northbound train of the day approaching the crossing, taken after I gave a proceed signal.  The two northbound trains I saw today looked well patronized.

Thanks to Dave for providing me the ride with equipment up to the crossing after lunch, and to the train crew for picking me up on their first return southbound trip.
We want...A SHRUBBERY!  One that looks nice, and not too expensive.

With Cody guiding me (that was a switch but part of helping him learn), I set the bottom of the catch basin.

Had to return a level to the Engine House so caught the steam crew ready to depart..

With Cody in the gift shop, I kept plugging away. The second culvert I needed was on the trailer, blocked by cars. I found a hole to get the Kubota in and got creative..

All set bit the grate is not secure yet. I may build a riser for it..

2 culverts in, one more to go.

Looking good, Mike. What prompted Cody to go to the gift shop?
