Work done on Saturday June 3:

* Switching: cars got shuffled around in the north yard.  Dan worked on organizing Boxcar 309.
* Percival house: Mike extended the drainage pipe he had started a few weeks ago, toward the south.
* Archives: Linda directed moving boxes of stuff downstairs, and boxes of stuff around in the main floor office.

Pete and I, with help from Cody and Bob L, prepared and fired loco 9, which was then used to help Dan, Nick and James complete the switching in the afternoon.  Good times in the rain!

Everyone have fun on tomorrow’s mixed and concert trains!

Sunday, June 4th.
* Despite the weather, just over 100 passengers (combined) visited for "Mixed Train Sunday" and "Music on the Railway". The rain was not too miserable and everyone had a good time.
* Marcel was working on the roof of boxcar 56.

Today, a school group from Dresden came to the museum.  There were about 60 kids plus faculty and parents which totaled over 75 people.   The students were split into three groups and the groups rotated through a shop tour, handcar ride and a chance to turn the turntable.  Group hosts were Steve P, Dan M. and JB.  After an hour of touring and teaching the students about Maine Two-Foot railways, the entire group got a steam train ride to TBS and return.  The train crew included the group hosts plus Gordon and Eric in the cab and Brendan braking.  The event, arranged by Steve P. went well and some of the students and teachers said they wanted to come back for some of our public events.  A good bit of work went into getting things ready for the event and we were lucky that the rain mostly held off until after the group left.  There are photos on the WW&F Facebook page.

Marcel was working on the boxcar, Alan and Harold were working with an End Mill on a jounal box and I spent a couple hours trimming around the house and shop.

Fred and Dave took another trip to Camden to pick up an archives donation. Oh, and there was a board meeting.

I love the view of the underside of 9's running gear.  The pit is a great addition.
