Additional work from Tuesday / Wednesday -

* WW&F 2024 Calendar - The publishing team of Kevin, Cindy and myself worked this week selecting photos, assigned month panels, writing text and captions and packaging everything for printing.  Kevin Madore has once again provided beautiful images that he took over the last few years and the '24 WW&F Railway calendar will be another good one.

The approach of the publications team has been, starting with Stephen Hussar and continuing with Kevin to create a photo album that just happens to be a calendar.  The 2023 issue sold out by January so we suggest that you get your 2024 issue this year, they should be available at the Annual Picnic.

I was on the engine today, but will give a short report on work done today:

* Boxcar 56 roof work
* Electrical work - Josh and his father Gary were working in the electrical building.

A rainy day but we had good ridership.

A rainy day but we had good ridership.

I politely as possible once asked a rainy day visitor why they were here. The reply was that they had planned a bunch of other activities, but all of those activities were outdoors, so they came to the WW&F because most of the attraction and activities were essentially indoors.

I was on train crew today (June 17th) as brakeman, so I could only take a few photos of the day between train operations.

One is of progress on the Sheepscot electric building.

Another is of today's progress on B&SR boxcar No. 56.

A rainy day but we had good ridership.

100+ I heard unofficially.  We were pleasantly surprised by the strong ridership, knowing the day's weather forecast which was proven.  To John's observation, we asked a few families about their day.  All were very happy, many noting this is good rainy day activity and more broadly their overall experience.

One last photo from today, of No. 9 on the Sheepscot Service Track during lunch when the rain was less heavy, with the Sheepscot electric building and Josh Recave's truck to the left in the background.

And one last observation.  Operating crew members periodically receive Bulletin Orders that list temporary speed restrictions.  There were none in yesterday's report.  This is result of the hard work by Roadmaster Steve Lennox and the other volunteers who keep our railway in safe operating condition.
What–me worry?

Also this week I have designed and ordered another catch basin for the parking lot.

This will catch the water from the west lot and send it north, and result in even more parking..
