Last burn of the season.. We have enough cleared to use up most of the fill we have.

Dan in his element, or more like wearing his element..

Dan and Roger were continuing to prep 9 for a boiler inspection, Dan having firebox duty..looking good.

More of Dans element, or more like what he wasn't wearing..

Freds tractor had a leaking injector line that I found last weekend. I replaced these brass washers with new and solved the issue.

I also worked on the brakes some on the loader. They need to be bled out all over again because the reservoir was empty last weekend. I did not have a helper so that did not get done.

I also put new linkage in the Kubota and got that ready to use for April 1st.. Over all a busy day.

Interestingly, the most spot on Dan’s face is where the face mask was…

I was hoping to cut between ML&M and the trestle this winter, and if some would like to do that Saturday that would be great. I can't join you though.

April 1st if the weather holds I will get back to my dirt projects..

At the moment it looks like I can be in Sheepscot Saturday.  Anyone else interested in a cutting crew (including an engineer for 52 or 51 to get to ML&M and points north)?

Now it's likely I won't be in Sheepscot tomorrow.  I do plan to be up April 1st, weather permitting.

Work done on Saturday March 25:

* Engine house: Brendan moved the east window by the door earlier this week, so today he installed the east door.  I tarpapered the bare walls, and Zack and Stewart shingled.  Fred manned the burn barrel and supervised.
* Percival basement: This past week, a local contractor came in to start building a separate (larger) archives room in the basement.  He was there again today working on it.
* Grant work: Ed and Nicole were collaborating on grant prep work.
* Archives: Linda got not 1 but 2 care packages, with books, pictures, and papers.
