Work done on Saturday Dec 3:

* Moving stuff - Mike moved the paint cabinet and #11/#9 tires out of the garage bay 2 to free up the bay again.
* Vehicle repair - Brendan and Mike got the Deere tractor back together and operational.  Mike put the front end loader into the garage to work on something with Cody.
* Engine house - Fred and Zack shingled the east wall until mid-morning, when it started to rain.
* Machine shop - Alan showed up for the afternoon, but I left at noon so I don't know what he did.

Also managed to get the site prepped for the fuel tank, and cleaned up a spot for the small trailers next to the Fred Shed (no photo). We were working on the loader brakes again, with marginal improvement. We ran out of brake fluid so stopped while we had some in the reservoir.

Tank site..

Visited the shop to have a look this afternoon and saw #11s frame

And the truck progress

Bill I found it in reading The black Box by Michael Connely. In that book it was the motto of a National Guard tranportation unit.

Another new volunteer, Jim, joined me today in another leg of vacuum brake work: we weighed several cars in our fleet to facilitate brake linkage calculations.  We have a porta-power jack outfitted with a pressure gauge as a portable hydraulic scale- Jay Barta rebuilt it for us this fall.

Thanks
Jason

Gosh Jason, you have got forum readers all jacked up about a weighty topic, in a high pressure zone, and then leave us all hanging in a vacuum!  :o Hopefully that scale wasn't brake [en] . . .  ::)
Who is the heavy?

 ;)
