* I'll let someone who attended the show report on it, but as of now we made over $4700 there today (known thanks to our Square POS system!).

Show team managers will have better information, but I'm not surprised based on the show attendance I saw today.  If not as strong as pre-pandemic, it was very close.

A couple of photos of our tables in the Narrow Gauge Corner 78 of the Young building.

Our tables are next to our friends at the Sandy River & Rangeley Lakes Railroad Museum.  A photo of SR&RL president Sharon Barber talking with Savery Moore today.

And Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Co. & Museum has a nice display in the Better Living Center.

As noted in this post, Cindy's family and friends are remembering Don Sanger this weekend.

And as noted in this post, Maine Locomotive & Machine and Edaville have an outdoor display this weekend.

Seems like the Maine two-footer community is well represented at West Springfield this weekend.
We want...A SHRUBBERY!  One that looks nice, and not too expensive.

Note: Due to the severe cold predicted for 2/4, public trains (aka "Steam & Sleighs to SeaLyon Farm") are ANNULLED for this date.

There will also be a 'Build 11' work session from Tuesday to Thursday, January 31 to February 2.
We will be working on getting ready to assemble the entire front frame which includes the left and right frames, cylinder fixture, and rear frame extension casting. The cylinder fixture substitutes for the cylinder saddle which we won't have for a few more months. We have to prepare the two front frames to fit with the rear frame extension casting, get everything precisely aligned, and start match drilling and reaming holes to permanently bolt the pieces together with custom fitted bolts.
Once the front 'box' is assembled it can be married to the rear frame by the same process of fitting and match drilling and reaming holes for fitted bolts. Alignment of these components is critical to the successful operation of the locomotive.

I want to personally thank each one of you who volunteered your time and energy to help make the WW&F's table at this year's Railroad Hobby Show a success. There were many great conversations with potential visitors and volunteers and a great time was had by all.

Looking forward to next year and bringing some new ideas to fruition that were floated by convention volunteers.
