A lovely compliment
« on: November 04, 2022, 03:43:03 PM »
Yesterday I was at Rockhill Furnace, Pa., and in the course of my visit, I had a chance to speak with Dave Dimitrovich, Chief Mechanical officer for the East Broad Top Foundation. In the course of our conversation, he said, "The WW&F sets the gold standard for historic railroad preservation. Those guys do amazing work up there." High praise indeed!

More importantly, THANKS TO ALL OUR VOLUNTEERS WHO DO ALL THE TASKS, BIG AND SMALL, THAT MAKE OUR MUSEUM WHAT IT IS TODAY!

When I visited the EBT back in July, call Dave, Linn Moedinger, and many others who knew of us had nothing but great things to say and so many questions about ongoing projects.

And I told them the work they have done is as equally spectacular and with amazing support. To get the pleasure to meet some great people in the preservation railroad inudstry (outside of our own talented folks) is truly amazing. There’s nothing more heartwarming than to hear other preservationists speak highly of the organization.

I must say that we are truly blessed, and fortunate to have such a wide base of skilled volunteers, members, donors, and friends.

Dave spent a couple of days with us back in early 2021 during Pete Lerro's winter charter at the WW&F.   Here's a shot of Dave posing as a Dispatcher in the railroad office:  https://www.flickr.com/photos/112261457@N06/50899463158/in/album-72157718127341006/

"... all work and no play makes Dave a dull boy!"

... and as evidence that Dave can play too ...
