Getting the Mountain ready for service, and completed has been a HUGE undertaking by so many. It is truly remarkable how much work has been done, and what work continues to be done the last several weeks.

A HUGE round of applause for everyone who has taken the time to step up to make this happen. I know it has been strenuous on our volunteers, and everyone alike, but the rewards are well worth the efforts. Not just for our museum and our guests, but in memory of so many that wanted to see Harry’s dream continue to be carried out.

* TBS - Zack, Steve P., Fred and Stewart finished installing clap boards on the north end and west (track) side. There are photos on FB. Brendan ordered the lumber and material to finish the interior which may happen next week.

* Campus - Final collection of a large amount of trash and cardboard, everything was hauled to the dump.

* Engine 11 - Rick and Gordon's crew of Wayne, John, Jeff and a few others worked on reaming the plate holes in the tail frame. The frame members will be dis-assembled to be re-assembled with hot rivets. Photos are on the WW&F Fb page.

Anticipated work for the weekend of August 13-14, 2022:

* Saturday is the Annual Picnic.  Two train ops, with the picnic at Top of Mountain.  Volunteers will still be able to eat in the Percival House.
* Sunday is a photo charter featuring The Mountain.

Note that normally there'd be a board meeting on Saturday, but because of how busy it is and that board members are also crews, the meeting will be held on the 20th at 8 AM.
