There are reports of #53 as being successfully loaded and en-route to Sheepscot on Facebook.

Indeed! After half a day of minor challenges, we finally got No. 53 on the trailer about 11:30 this morning, and it was tied down and pulling out of the yard at about 12:45. It will remain at the West Milton truck stop over the weekend and head north to Maine at the break of dawn on Monday. Expected arrival at Sheepscot after noon on Tuesday.

Cody begged to have today off from school so he could see #53 unloaded, but no, that's not him.

Jason can no longer give me guff about 7 being too big now that this has arrived on the property. I look forward to seeing how the big squeeze goes.

It's a long way up into that cab. Will engineers have supplemental oxygen available?

Folks,
I am glad that the GE locomotive is now on the property! Now the engineering department can really start scratching their heads about how to make it fit a Two-Foot Railway and what kind of snow plow it will need. If any parts are not used I imagine they can be sold to other museums as spare parts. Long Live WW&F #53!
