WW&F No. 53 - Official Work Thread

<< < (3/13) > >>

Wayne Laepple:
Let's not get too excited about paint schemes, etc. This project may take a couple or three or four years, AFTER we get the Wilmar tamper going satisfactorily. The hoods will be taken off for access to the engines, and there will be major surgery on the cab and the frame before we even think about painting.

Benjamin Richards:
Did you mean to put that on NGDF? That's where the painting conversation is. No one mentioned paint here.

Mike Fox:
After Wilmar and after #10..

Carl G. Soderstrom:
And 11 and coach 9 and flanger and box car and Engine House and

Trout Brook station & Turn Table and parking lot and ........

Mike the Choochoo Nix:
Is the motor to be used from the locomotive going to be getting a full overhaul before it is installed. I would think we want every part of the loco refurbished to tolerances that will insure trouble free service. I know this a big project and will take time and money but we may as well get a trouble free product. I'm not saying you won't do a good job, I think a total tear down and inspection of everything is a must.
M. Nix
