East Broad Top must sees

Hey everyone,

Planning a trip to the EBT very soon, and am looking for some opinions on must sees of the railroad. I have seen Orbisonia, Robertsdale, and Saltillo once in 2012.

I’d like to see the Pogue trestle, and more but need help on how to find the more hidden gems. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Joe,

I would recommend using Google Earth to follow the railroad and pick out spots.  You should at least visit Pogue and at least one of the tunnels.  By using Google, you can pull off GPS coordinates that can be used in your car or a handheld device.  Of great help when navigating through the woods.  A word of caution, the ticks are crazy this year as we had a very warm and rainy winter.  I'll go back and check my EBT book and will let you know about anything else.  Also, stop by and check in with the folks in Orbisonia.  Courtesy of Wayne, we have renewed and good relations with Mgt.
