Steve,
I have a Bosch high quality, heavy duty electric hammer drill with several concrete drill bits and a couple of chisel bits that I would be willing to donate if you are interested.  It is in Tennessee, where I am going in two weeks.  Regretfully, I won't be back at the Museum until early June.

Have you tried a upside-down gutter or U (4 to 5 inches) bent corrugated  with
a weed burner at each end?

Job #1 done this morning. Just a touch over an hour to do this and by the shop. It was rutty with standing water in them.. It is not perfect but better than ot was..

Good, I'm glad someone did that.  I'm hoping you also worked over the driveway, which had a foot of mud on it Saturday.

With tonight's hard freeze down to 9 degrees hopefully it will hold up throughout the day tomorrow. I barely was able to drive out of the lot last Saturday with the mud! It is not looking like it will be overly sunny and staying at about 32 degrees. There's nothing like mud season in Maine!

It flowed just like wet concrete. Sloppy.
And yes, driveway was done and coned off.

Looks like a great idea John.  However, I suspect it wouldn't survive the first snow plowing.

When I was in the Army we used what we called runway mats. They used to build airfields out of them.

With regards to snow plowing, here is what the manufacturer of the paver grids says:

If we were seriously considering these, it would be a good idea to ask the manufacturer for some references of customers in snow country that do plow over their installed grids.

it use to be called Marston Mat,  It is more properly called pierced (or perforated) steel planking (PSP).  It holds up really well.  Don't know the cost though.

Work done on Saturday Feb 19:

* Top of Mtn cutting - A fair number of people were part of the cutting and burning crew.  Two saws going.
* Steam and Sleighs Wagons - sold out trains.
* Loader - Mike took off the hydraulic hoses for the digger to get them replaced.
