If you're interested in the Perus-Pirapora line in Brazil (the EFPP), a newly posted video of the recently restored Decauville 0-4-2 #8 in operation can be seen at the URL below:

Phil Raynes replied:I hope this means that the legal problems of restoring the locos and line have been resolved! Perhaps some of the Baldwin 2-6-2's. 4-6-0's, and 2-6-0's will be restored - or even one or two made available for export??!! More videos are linked from this and other videos - including this one on a speeder on what seems like track that has been recently cleared and a section going over washouts supported by a few tree branches and lots of prayers!

Another one of #8 in the yard, with a volunteer clearing brush working as it goes by!

Mike Fox replied:Nice speeder car ride. Other than being weed coverd, the track seems to give a smooth ride.

Hi Phil,
You might be interested in knowing that the film on the EFPP site was and may still be available commercially from Sunday River Productions. The tape is called "The VFCO and the Perus Railways". The product code was/is VFCO. The complete tape is 23 minutes long. There is also a sequel on the Dona Teresa Cristina.
Best Regards,
Glenn
o anderson replied:I just found this picture of Perus locomotives. This is a line-up of equipment on a quarry spur - not the good engines they have at old shops sites. Here we have the remains of three German engines, a home built diesel, a Ford motor car, and three Baldwin 2-6-0s (1891, 1901 and 1925) (photo taken in 2005)
