Piggybacking on James -
The next FIVE weeks will be very busy with public operations. Help is needed on the trains, Sheepscot, at Top of the Mountain, and Alna Center. Please let me know if you are available to help.

PLEASE PARK CONSIDERATELY.  All-day volunteers should park in what space is available in the upper/west lot and block each other in.
When starting the "2nd row" be sure to start it close and parallel to the one adjacent to the the Percival house, otherwise we will not be able to handle the anticipated traffic.

It's great to see the turntable project progressing so well but... (and I hope I'm wrong about this) I can't help but worry about security with such an item of curiosity clearly visible from a public highway in an isolated area.
Not that I know what to do about it.

Work done on Saturday September 25:

* Engine house: Two thirds of two walls went up today.  That two walls, a third of each wall.  The ground assembly of the west wall was completed, then assembly of the east wall began on top of it (using the other as a template).  With the completion of one third of the east wall, Fred was eager to get each of the thirds up.  Mike on the boom truck did the lifting.
* Coach 9: Alan and Nicole were busy working on the coach's pedestals, while Harold was working on the seat castings (in the last week he's drilled the holes for the feet and for the seat back arms, this work was for the arm rest holes).
* Pumpkin Trains: well attended today, along with some new trainmen in training.
