If you are planning on being around and generally available to help out at Saturday's Annual Picnic, please let me know. We will need all the help we can get and it would be very useful to know who is coming, at least for parts of the day.

Thanks!

It was a bust-butt kind of week.  Thank you Steve and crew for setting priorities, fitting in extra ones, and making it happen.  The level of activity and progress on these days has been astounding.

Thanks,

I would like to drop by in the early afternoon and take a crack at finding the magphone problem between Brook Crossing and Sheepscot.

Hopefully my trundling around in the woods won't adversely affect Picnic operations. I'm sure that it won't adversely affect telephone service. ::)

PLEASE PARK CAREFULLY AND CONSIDERATELY at Sheepscot on Saturday!

We are anticipating a record number of attendees for the annual picnic. If you are arriving early, and staying for the 6pm train to Mile Post 8, please park in such a way to allow others to box you in.

Thanks!

Work done on Saturday August 7:

* Annual Picnic - Great turnout.  I think everyone enjoyed themselves.
* Fred and Dwight did some trimming at Alna Center
* Boxcar 56 - Marcel did some work on the upright posts in the morning.
* Mike tried to fix the starting issues with the forklift (I don't know if he was successful).

With major assistance from Joseph Gilbert ("Joseph from Maine") and his girlfriend Sophie, plus testing assistance from Benjamin Richards, functional operation of the entire magphone system between TOM and SS has been achieved. The telephone in the AC station needs some wiring adjustments, as I evidently installed the new handset cord incorrectly, but it still works fairly well.

Congratulations and thank you John McNamara, Joe and Sophie on your mag-phone success!  Very glad to hear it.  This piece of progress got swept away in the craziness of last Saturday but I'm very pleased the phone is back in service.

Thanks!

Thank you for the thank you; not complete success until I make some minor adjustments at AC; should be usable but not perfect.
