I've asked when it would come to Maine, I think I was misunderstood and was told it depends on whether PBS bought it or not.

It would be nice to have as a video for the gift shop to sell.

Regardless of who "owns" it.  Let's buy a copy and show it in A/C during FWW while we are having a group evening meal.

Richard is right, the movie was very well done. The WW&F was well represented at the 1:15 showing. I learned a lot about Alice. I would love to have known her. Jason, Linda, James and Zack all spoke well in the film as did Dale. It was also nice to see film of Harry and Alice.
As of today, the film will be shown on PBS in Connecticut, Maine, Rhode Island and Vermont. Not sure about NH. Massachusetts PBS has not been approached yet.

Maine PBS is airing this before Connecticut.

First airing is Thursday, September 30, at 10 PM.

The second is Saturday, October 2, at 2 PM.

There may be a way to stream the film, which will be posted here when it becomes known.

What a great historical piece!  Very well done - I hope the souvenir shop will be able to get copies to sell as I think a lot of members will want it.

Many thanks, Bill. I doubt that public stations in Ohio will be picking it up.

Just watched it. What a nice piece. What struck me most was the fellow from the Army Corps, actually. I got the sense that he was somewhat conflicted in his experience of it, and the role of the Corps in general. He seemed to be still processing everything in his mind, even while the interview was being conducted.

What a great story! I agree with Benjamin. The Corps of Engineers guy had some feelings about what happened to the Ramsdell farm. I hope we'll be able to obtain copies and distribute this tribute far and wide.

Indeed, that is an excellent video.

Since I did not know about this place in Harrys time I enjoyed seeing that part, and Jasons connections. Now I understand Jasons wish to make the train more than just a ride.

I was a bit lost in the timing of Alices interaction with the damn project. Am I right that they were building the dam in the 30's and eventually agreed to let her stay on the farm the rest of her life. That must mean the farm was in the area reserved for overflow, but obviously not in the part that got flooded. She must have been at some risk that she might be flooded out in the event of a major storm.
