A few things that were worked on not reported elsewhere

52’s front horn was repaired
The targets in the north yard were changed to agree with our new switch rules
The track 3 into the car barn was reconnected
The MNG turntable was marked for cutting to fit our 218 track/row space
A 17 switch stand was taken apart
Two tools were fabricated to remove the springs from a 17 switch stand
A good 17 switch stand was kit bashed and assembled from available parts
This stand will replace the one with broken ears on the main line and north yard switch
A movable box was fabricated to keep loose switch stand parts in one place and out of the dirt
The fire sprayer car was repaired

                     Rules and Standards for Operations

XXIV.   Safety and Efficiency Program (S&EP)

209.  Rules Class
         A Rules Class is held annually for the purpose of discussing and demonstrating
         the basic training points as found on the training record.  The class will focus on
         general and safety rules and basic skills, with additional instructions on rules
         for higher crew positions.  All attendees will take part in the General Session each
         time they attend a Rules Class.

NOTES:
                What a coincidence, this years Rules Class is scheduled for July 24th, 2021.

* Earthmoving, at AC (around the pavilion) and SS (in the parking lot)

Hi all, I have a very eager engineer-in-training at home. Cody's been up for three work days this spring, and he would really like to help out in some way this Saturday. If anyone has any ideas for him, I'd be grateful. Tasks involving wheelbarrows or wagons - or being in a locomotive    - are especially popular. Thanks! ~Pete

If nobody comes up with a 'wheelbarrow task', how about giving him a phone/camera and a "title", perhaps reporter, videographer, reporting specialist, archivist, or ?? and ask him to document whatever is going on.  The Friends of the Cumbres & Toltec group call that position "Chronicler".

Make arrangements with Ed so he can have his own WW&F forum account to post his work here.  Perhaps some of his work might end up in the WW&F newsletter!

*  Dirt moving and bring in ballast  (Brendan and Fred)

*  Shop work-Wheel Press work  (Jerry, Carlos, Jason)

*  Tool Shed shingling continues  (Stewart)

*  Coach #9 Assembly continues  (Eric and Ron)

*  Mowing Alna Center  (Fred and Randy)

*  Box car/tool car build  (Marcel)

Wednesday:

*  Track work, Turn Table lead ballasted, lifted, lined and tamped. A final readjustment
    and dressing to be completed later this summer.  (Steve L, Dan, Chuck)

*  Weed whacking Sheepscot Campus  (Randy)

*  Vehicle repair, Brookville  (Jay B)  (we heard it running)

*  Tool building shingling  (Stewart)

Note:  Fred took time out to show us how to spike!
