Thank you so much Jeff for those clarifications and the nice video whose ragtime music I like too.  In Pithivers the cats that loiter around the facilities  don't stay long because they have a home and they mostly patronize  the place when their humans are on vacation. I'm gonna share the video on Fb. Have a good weekend.

I was impressed with how fast the Car Barn went up; but the new engine house is even better! Soon it will be spring and I am looking forward to seeing the first lumber in 2022 going into or onto the new building!

Interesting how the sheathing pattern is different on the header between stall 3 and stall 2.

Will the engine house be sided in shingles or shakes? There is a difference. Shakes are split off where shingles are sawn smooth on both sides and tapered.

At the back of stall 2. I see the window cut ins have been closed up. Are you going to use skylights for this back area?

Keith, you are most likely correct.  I used the wrong term for the material finish.  I seem to recall that we have used shingles on other buildings.  My apologies.

In the back, Brendan framed in the windows, then was told where the office is going to be (NE corner) they wanted the north wall with no window so that they could have shelving.  I think the idea is once the location of the office wall is known for sure, that the window holes will be moved over.

It will be shingles as that is how the original was. I believe most of the shingles are on hand.

Fred got some new chairs.



Started putting the roof overhang over the front of stall three.



Using the big forklift for a work bench up on the scaffolding.





A couple more of the big forklift inside for scale. The machine is almost 11' tall and 27' long including the forks.
