Engine House - Official Work Thread

The pictures of the engine house interior metal celling show the steady progress in completing the engine house.  Looking forward to seeing all three bays completed.  Brendan noted when celling work is done, the electrical work can be started so as to complete the main components of the engine house build. First damper has been installed. Gravity holds it closed. Simply pull on a rope and hook the end of it on an eye to hold it open.

Yes, ceiling is finished, just some trim work they are working on.

I've been pushing for either an epoxy or chemical resistant floor coating both for better lighting and also cleanliness.  Can we get this done or is it a money issue?

Here in MN neighbor had standard two car garage

done. It was $2500.  You might get it cheaper by

buying supplies and DYI. It is a little outside the realm of

historically correct.

Historically correct would have been a dirt floor.

Or end grain wood blocks- so concrete is already an up grade.

Within the realm of possibility.

Speedy Dry and 2X4 Holystoning will keep it refreshed and looking good.
