It was great seeing different old faces today.

Hey!  I resemble that remark!

HWMNBN made his first appearance in over 5 months. His primary comment was that things hadn’t changed much insult-wise  since his last appearance. He also welcomed me at 7:35 by wishing me a good afternoon.
Dave

Wow.  And I hadn't even posted this photo yet of you holding up Fred's tractor, with Fred on the left.

It was great to see everyone.  Unfortunately, I only took one other photo yesterday, of the tree cutting and burning.

Nancy made a great lunch, too.
What–me worry?

They're "testing" the rebuild.

I have volunteered to lead a crew Saturday to clear the line, weather depending. I think an 8:30 departure would be fine, and hope to finish by lunch.

I can remember our family having a "party line" as a child.  Our ring was 1 long and 2 shorts.  I can remember a nosey neighbor who liked to listen in on other peoples calls.

I cut up 3 Maple logs today into firewood length and used the tractor bucket to transport it and stack it to be split. Just like old times.

We have at least one large pine completely blocking the tracks just north of Trasks. Steve L. said they walked the line to AC, so not sure what is north of there. Also, he says the West rail at Sutters is iced over again, so we have that to deal with as well on the way North. Steve sent me this photo..

Work done on Saturday March 13:

* Line clearing - a work crew cleared the line to Top of Mountain (including the big tree seen above), then worked back clearing off off-the-track blowdowns before running out of chain saw gas.
* Machine shop - Alan's crew was working on the radial drill press painting.
* Boxcar 56- Marcel was working on the ends of the stringer beams.
* Board meeting - we authorized spending lots of money.
