There is a report of at least one tree down south of Trask Xing.  With last Monday’s wind storm, a line inspection with chain saws is in order.  We currently plan to do this next Tuesday or Wednesday, however it’s ok if it happens on Saturday.  If you do please bring appropriate crew and equipment, and let us know that you did so.

At present I plan to be on site tomorrow but not on Saturday.

Thanks,
Jason

Maybe Saturday afternoon we could make a trip. Maybe. Will see how the cutting goes. Probably the last safe day we will have to burn so want to focus on that and get as much done as possible.

Pictures of moving the new big lathe in on Wednesday, March 3. A serious upgrade to our machine shop capabilities.

Any thought of drip pans under the equipment to catch misc. oils and cutting lubricants?

Work done on Saturday March 6:

* Cutting & burning: working behind the garage and storage containers, we cleaned up slash left from prior clearing and dropped a few trees.  The area can be filled with gravel and used for storage.  A bunch of hardwood was cut and taken by Fred in the tractor to be cut and split later.
* Electrical distribution building: Zack was insulating the building walls.  The building in the last several weeks has gotten a ceiling and a door lock, and now contains a bunch of electrical supplies.
* Machine shop: Alan was directing painting of the radial drill press while working on further organizing the area.

HWMNBN made his first appearance in over 5 months. His primary comment was that things hadn’t changed much insult-wise  since his last appearance. He also welcomed me at 7:35 by wishing me a good afternoon.
